Our Mission – Women of Heartsong is an Austin-based non-profit women’s choir dedicated to uplifting those in need through the power of music. We serve the elderly, the ill, the confined, and the broader community with regular performances that bring hope, comfort, and joy.

Our History – Founded in 2007 by music director Edie Elkjer as an outlet for mothers of young children, Women of Heartsong has grown to include women of all ages—mothers, daughters, and grandmothers alike. After Edie’s retirement in 2021, leadership passed to Monica Muscato and, as of 2024, to our current director, Dianna Jarvis.

Join Us – The women in the Women of Heartsong chorus loves to be together and share their hearts in song. The choir sings contemporary folk, gospel, pop, and some well-known classics (in four-part harmony!). Our rehearsals and social gatherings strengthen our friendships, encourage laughter, and blend voices harmoniously.

Our Mission To lift up the hearts of others while blending voices, sharing laughter and enjoying friendships.

We connect with local organizations and care facilities to identify opportunities for performances and partnership. We also host an annual, free, spring concert for the Austin community.
